Life has proven itself time and time again to be challenging. Handling issues from your childhood as an adult on top of your current problems doesn’t help our day to day routine. Some of us, myself included has dealt with people projecting the way they were mistreated onto you and we now have to work our way through those traumas as an adult. But the fundamental question is, how do we keep ourselves by continuing to be mistreated?
Typically seeing so many people like myself not feeling good enough, not receiving potential opportunities we deserve and being overlooked contributes to a damaged spirit and mindset. We then question ourselves about who we are or if we are deserving of good things! How do we stop examining who we are, calling ourselves ugly and generally mistreating ourselves? Positive self talk!
What is Positive self and how do we correctly apply it to our lives?
Flipping the way we think! For example, instead of saying “I Can’t make it through this hard time!” say, “I know it won’t be easy, but I know I can make it through”! Switch your usual “I feel ugly!” to “I may not look like every girl on Instagram but I’m still beautiful because I was not put here to have the same face shape or hips that another person has.”
“I know it won’t be easy, but I know I can make it through”!
When faced with a complex challenge instead of us being frustrated and ready to give up on life or the situation, keep going or take a step back then return to face that challenge head on. This is a method I use when I am unable to remain focused, I wrote about this and a few more methods I use to keep me on the right track, here.
There have been and will be several moments when we feel as if these trials that are thrown our way may defeat us but here I am writing this and here you are reading it!
Tell yourself you can; you will, you’re beautiful, because if we continue to doubt who we are or our talents how will we move forward to be better for us? I challenge myself and all of you that refer to this to say one positive thing about yourself right now!
Use positive self talk in your daily routine and if a problem arises against you refrain from calling yourself out of your name or placing negativity on yourself. Hug yourself, inform you of how incredible YOU are and claim every good thing you deserve!
Tell yourself you can; you will, you’re beautiful, because if we continue to doubt who we are or our talents how will we move forward to be better for us?
Question: What is one thing you love about yourself?
I have a few very special things I will be sharing soon so follow me on social media to keep track!
Positive self-talk is SO important! We are so mean to ourselves then turn around and wonder why we feel like crap! Thank you for writing about this!

One thing I love about myself is the fact that I like to laugh and don’t take myself too seriously. 😁🌴
