When I was younger and it was time to get ready for the school day I remember waking up to chaos and fussing. These memories are forever stuck with me and inspired me to begin my days as an adult very differently.
Every day we produce a list of things we want or need to get done on top of having to go to work. Many of us tend to be heavy on our snooze buttons and drag our feet to our coffee mugs to set out on our day. Even as adults aren’t prepared to face the day to day routine. How do we improve this?
By adjusting our morning routine so that we have a positive and productive twenty-four hours. Here are three ways you can adjust to having better mornings.
1. Listening To Music
Music is a great pick me up, especially on days when you would really rather stay in bed. Not only can music persuade you to move but it helps create a positive atmosphere. I would suggest staying away from loud, sad or aggressive music when you first wake up as that can quickly shift your mood in a negative manner. Listen to something with an uplifting message on a lower volume, lets all try to avoid migraines first thing in the morning.

2. Setting Daily Goals
Starting your day by writing goals can generate a sense of direction for the day and inspire you to get things done. Start off with three small goals and one major goal that you wish to accomplish. I’ve created a free printable for you guys to use that will help put you on the right path.

3. Positive Self Talk
I recently wrote a post all about positive self talk which you can check out here. Turn your morning hygiene routine into a positive self talk monologue or create a mantra for you to say to yourself each day. Make sure this mantra consists of something positive about yourself and always close it out with “Today will be a fantastic day!”. This also boosts your mind and your mindset.

Applying these three easy methods encourages us to wake up in a pleasant mood while carrying out this same mood through the day. Do what you need to do to make yourself feel better because we all deserve happiness.
Question: What’s one thing you do in the morning to start your day off right?

This is a great post! It’s important to start the morning right if you want to have a good day. I like to get up early so I can do a little workout, sit quietly with a cup of coffee and scroll through social media, have a leisurely breakfast and write a to-do list before I start the day.
