Fall/Winter 2020 Ready To Wear Trends From New York Fashion Week Shows

Christian Siriano

Inspired by the bad ass-ness of DC’s Birds of Prey front woman, Harley Quinn. Christian Siriano gave Harley Quinn a glam twist without losing her true essence. Large brimmed hats, silk, sequins and glamorous sculptured gowns were front and center on Siriano’s New York Fashion Week runway.

Tadashi Shoji

Mixing faux-fur and metallic floral prints were at the forefront of Tadashi Shoji’s New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2020 ready to wear show. He elegantly mixed draping and laces against hard fabrics, while including the pantone color of the year within the makeup. Tadashi Shoji proves why he is one of my favorites, year after year!

Tom Ford

The only designer to take New York Fashion Week to Los Angeles, none other than the tailoring genius, Tom Ford! Keeping with the theme of location, Tom Ford merged the idea of LA Street wear and Hollywood glam together to create a runway every woman will desire. The return of denim with patchwork, tie-dye and sweatpants you’ll want to grab right off the model, walked the runway. It wouldn’t be a Tom Ford show if there weren’t a few beautiful tailored blazers included!

Brandon Maxwell

Inventing his own idea of luxe sportswear was Brandon Maxwell’s main motivation. Creating pieces that are made to last, Maxwell incorporated sexy bandeaus, biker jackets, leather and liquid like silk. These pieces are timeless and great for seasons beyond Fall/Winter 2020.
